SCAT activities for NWP in Météo-France

The latest developments of the recently updated (June 29) operational Numerical Weather Prediction system of Météo-France will be presented with changes concerning more particularly the assimilation of scatterometer winds:
- selection of observations;
- error adjustment for ASCAT winds;
- assimilation of new data sets from HY-2B and HY-2C;
- higher resolution product for the AROME mesoscale model.
The monitoring of the CFOSAT SCAT winds will be discussed in this context.
